HollyDay Farms is the best choice for your child's birthday party! Not only will you get to be in a beautiful, park-like setting to fish, but you get an experienced party planner making sure everything is perfect for your special day as well as a fishing instructor to help all the kids catch a fish!

If you’d like to have additional staff on hand during your party to help the children fish, put worms on hooks, take fish off hooks, and more, the cost is $20 per hour per fishing staff.

Table Set Up
We take care of all the decor! When you arrive, you will be taken to your table set up by your party attendant. This is our standard table set up. If you'd like something different, please let us know.

When your child arrives, they can choose to wear a special fish hat (always disinfected) for the duration of their party!

Fishing Birthday Party FAQ & Info Sheet
Thank you for considering a fishing birthday party at HollyDay Farms! Here are answers to the most common questions we receive, so you can plan with ease and enjoy a fun, stress-free celebration.
When are parties available?
Parties are typically held on weekends anywhere from 9am to 8pm. With advance notice, we may be able to accommodate weekday parties or different timeframes.
How many kids can attend?
We can accommodate up to 20 children. If you’d like to invite more, please let us know at least one week in advance so we can prepare extra supplies and add a second fishing instructor if needed.
Can we bring our own food and drinks?
Yes! You are welcome to bring coolers, outside food and drinks, and snacks. We provide a table for food setup. Each child will have a plate, napkin, and bottled water at their place setting.
Can we bring cake or ice cream?
You can store cake or cupcakes in our small fridge. We do not have a freezer, so ice cream or ice cream cake should be kept on ice in a cooler.
Is there shade?
We have picnic tables and natural shade, but you're welcome to bring canopy tents (like 10x10 or 12x12) for additional coverage.
What decorations are allowed?
You can decorate the party area however you like, but please avoid confetti, glitter, and water balloons as they leave a mess and can harm wildlife.
Are games and water toys allowed?
Yes! Footballs, volleyball nets, water guns, and other lawn games are all welcome. We do not allow water balloons.
Do adults have to pay?
Yes — all attending adults (except the birthday child's parents) must pay a $10 entry fee. If any adult wants to fish, it’s an additional $5 for a rod and $6 for bait.
What’s the party timeline example?

10:00 AM: Party begins at the concession stand for a 10–15 minute fishing lesson with our instructor. We hand out rods, bait, and yardsticks for the fish measuring contest.

10:15–11:30 AM: Kids fish at the pond with the instructor.

11:30–12:00 PM: Kids wash hands and head to the party area for food, cake, and games. Horseshoes and our custom game “The Floor is Lava” are available.
Can we extend the party?
Yes — if you'd like the instructor to stay longer or you want to extend your party time, just let us know a few days ahead of time so we can coordinate.
What happens after the party ends?
Guests are welcome to stay and enjoy the farm until sunset. The instructor will leave at after he puts away all the fishing rods and we will clean up the party area at that time. You can continue fishing with any remaining bait.
Do you provide invitations?
Yes — we design a custom digital birthday invitation for you to send to your guests.
What do I need to do as the host?
You are responsible for making sure every attending child has a signed electronic waiver. The form is on our website. By booking, you agree to take full responsibility for any child whose parent does not sign the waiver.
Can you provide extra drinks?
We can provide a cooler of additional drinks for an extra fee. Just let us know!
Can we order pizza?
Yes! We recommend Pepperoni’s Pizza (704-289-3733), located just 5 minutes away. They do not deliver, but a guest can pick it up — or we can pick it up for you for an added fee.
What if it rains?
We do not offer refunds for weather, but with at least 24 hours' notice, we are happy to reschedule your party to a future date.
